Card Designs

As far as I am aware, this is the largest public collection of high quality debit/credit card images on the internet. The images sourced here help products that require card images like MaxRewards. If you would like to acquire a zip file of all of these images, please email me at churnersdigest@gmail.com to discuss terms

Any physical metal cards I have I will record a video of me dropping the card on a marble table, metal side down, add the video to this page and to this playlist on YouTube

On reddit, /u/chauxu made this post two years go that I loved. He had maintained this collection that I contributed to often. I think he one day stopped updating it. He is the inspiration for this page. His page has additional cards not found below

After churning for a while now, I have collected an onslaught of credit/debit cards ranging from large banks to tiny local CUs. I personally like seeing how different companies decide to design their cards. Here I will be posting high quality digital wallet card images if possible (ripped from Apple Wallet, post on how to do this to come soon) and scanned images of the physical cards.

I have both the physical scan and Apple Wallet rips because sometimes the cards do not have a proper Apple Wallet design, look different in person etc.

If you would like to contribute a card image, check out my instructional blog post!

Large thanks to the following community members who sent images in: Kleed, ahylianhuman, Kung Savage, Paul, Andy, andrew

Card Types

There are many different card types. This is the type of materials the physical card is made of. This data will be listed under each card. See the table below for a guide to what the types are

TypeMeaningSupports NFC
(Tap-To-Pay)
PlasticYour typical card, generic credit/debit card. Most of your cards are like this. Think of an embossed plastic Chase card Yes – antenna embedded in the plastic
Plastic – CheapThese are a variant of plastic cards that feel cheaper/more flimsy than the regular plastic card. These are usually issued from smaller Neobanks or CUsYes – antenna embedded in the plastic
Metal Sandwich/CoreYour typical metal card. This card has both faces covered in a sheet of plastic but the core is made of metal. This leads to a more premium card feeling as the card feels heavier. Think of a Chase Sapphire Preferred/ReserveYes – antenna embedded in the plastic
Metal FaceNewer type of metal card that has an exposed metal side (usually the face) and a plastic side (usually the back). These have a more premium feeling (IMO) as you can feel the metal and is my preferred card type. Think of a Verizon VisaYes – antenna embedded in the plastic
Full MetalThese are the most premium card type as they are full metal with no plastic and usually weigh the most. Think of an AMEX Rose/Gold and Apple cardSometimes – some cards like the Apple card don’t have NFC. YMMV
Metal – CheapThis is a metal card but it is of lower quality. Not sure how to describe it but it feels less premiumYes – antenna embedded in the plastic

REI

This card bothers me to no end. I have over a hundred cards in this collection. All Apple Wallet image rips (including the Venture X also issued by Capital One) follow the format of square image and no chip. Apple adds the curve to the corners in app. This card image curbs both of those standards and curves the edges and has the chip in the image. I was able to find a higher quality version of the card image on their website, but it includes the member number in the top right. The physical card has this but the Apple Wallet rip does not

Apple Card

The design of this digital wallet card changes according to the categories you make purchases at but the Apple Wallet rip is always this design. I personally got this card just to add to my collection and honestly I am a bit disappointed. The titanium makes it feel…kinda cheap? It has the coolest chip design I have ever seen but the magstrip on the back is a sticker overlaid on the painted metal so it is a bit raised and a bit off-putting. Also was disappointed that, unlike the Apple logo, your name is not engraved in the card

Venmo does not let me add the card to Apple Pay so no rip for these (the metal card would prob show the generic image anyway)

NessWell

New start up offering with some interesting benefits including 5x back on medal and doctors bills. The physical card is the first card I have ever seen to have the card network be in the top left of the card. So when the card is held in the proper orientation, the chop is on the bottom half of the right side with the “World” logo in the bottom right. This is all in contrast to the Apple Wallet design which is orientated normally

In addition, the Ness design that goes across the center of the card is sparkly in person and has texture to it. Quite the unique and well (get it) designed card IMO. The color is very reminiscent of the Acorns card

Cash App offers a $50 metal card that you can order upon request. They have a black and this Chameleon variants and allow you to add your own design or your Cash Tag. I opted to leave it black. This card is the closest to the Apple Card I have seen, it’s quite nice. The scan does not do it justice

The physical card has raised waves on it. Nice in the hand, ladies. Unfortunately they committed the cardinal sin of rounding the Apple Wallet image when Apple does that automatically for you so begrudingly this card goes on the Wall of Shame

Interestingly, this is the only Apple Wallet rip in my collection that has an old MasterCard logo. This logo was active from 1996-2016, meaning that this Apple Wallet image is 7-9 years old, considering Apple Pay was not released until 2014. The physical card does not however represent the relic of the past

This randomly has become one of my favorite card designs. The physical card is not the same as the Apple Wallet rip. The digital version of it has the best agon, a hextagon, and for some unknown reason has a transparent background. The image below is not of gray/white hexagons on a black background. The background is black because it is transparent and that is the color of my website. Never seen this in another card and I love it?

For those curious, Apple has thought of everything and adds a white background wherever the card image is used

Generic

For some reason, when I added the Lili business debit to my Apple Wallet it displayed this generic card image My guess is that this is the generic image Apple has if the bank you are adding a card for doesn’t have a card image or it has trouble loading the image.

Also interesting to note, this is the same background image for the old First Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Ducks Unlimited Apple Wallet card. interesting

Either way, here it is

Perk

Perk Plastik

Shoutout to anyone who knows what Perk even is. This is what got me into churning in the first place. Perk is a husk of its former self but it is a service where you run advertisements on your phone and it makes you small amounts of money. I want to make a dedicated post describing my Perk usage but for now here is the Perk Plastik card. At it’s peak, during 2015, I earned over $1k by running ads on a fleet of junk Android phones

Perk Plastik was a debit card you could load your rewards onto to use as cash
